9th grade, Acrylic paint, 8x10 canvas. This piece was created for a Biology final exam project. It ended up turning out better than expected and is now safe at home. This is a good lesson for the fact that the best art pieces may not always be created in ways most expected. Just go with the flow :)

Eliza V. Simpkins

"Untitled 569" This piece was initially started when Eliza fell down the rabbit hole of abandoned biohazard supermarkets on the internet, and when he saw a particularly interesting Zombie movie. The themes of decay, coupled with the knowledge that sat with him after taking a forensic chemistry class, felt like they were worth exploring artistically. After a months time, and about 24 collective hours total spent hunched over his phone, Eliza also started feeling things in relation to that theme of decomposition. Particularly due to the fact that his final year of highschool is upon him, and he is soon to be a grown person. While he may not be rotting away quite yet, his fear and reluctant acceptance towards growing up and growing older is reflected in this piece.
